To All Our Local Community,Following on from last summer’s Peace Gathering and in light of world events with increasing talk of building walls, creating harder borders, displacing people, and clamping down on immigrant communities, we are organising an open-door multi-faith, big community come-together at The Sound Lounge on THU 27th FEB.
We are so excited that so many people from our local faith communities & community organisations are coming down to share who they are, a key highlight from the last 12 months, and what they love about Sutton.
We would love you to join us in celebration and to find out more about our local area, and who we really all are. This is us building strong communities and resilience in the face of rising intolerance to safeguard us against the sort of hate that led to riots last year 💪✊
In Sutton we are Muslim, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, Quaker, Catholic, Athiest & more. We come from different corners of the world. We define in all sorts of ways, as binary and non-binary. We are artists, scientists, engineers, carers and many, many more things. In Sutton we LOVE and CELEBRATE all of it.
