An Introduction to Watercolour Florals • Beginners-friendly Workshop

Join me for a relaxed 3-hour floral watercolour workshop at Fire Station Creative, where we’ll paint a beautiful pastel floral piece together step by step.

This session is designed for complete beginners and improvers alike — whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before or you’re looking to build confidence with florals in watercolour.

We’ll start with a few simple practice exercises to get comfortable with brushstrokes, leaves and flower shapes, before moving on to a final floral bouquet painting inspired by the piece shown in the event images.

Throughout the workshop, I’ll guide you through the process step by step, breaking everything down into simple shapes, brushstrokes and techniques so it feels approachable, even if you’re completely new to watercolour.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

• Paint simple flowers, leaves and delicate botanical details in watercolour
• Control water and pigment for soft, light washes
• Layer colour and build up a floral composition one element at a time
• Create a finished floral painting with confidence

All materials are provided, so you don’t need to bring a thing — just yourself.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own finished floral painting, along with a set of watercolour techniques you can keep practising at home.This is a friendly, low-pressure class designed to help you slow down, get creative and enjoy painting in a welcoming environment.
