Looking for a new sport? New friends? Thinking about getting back into ultimate frisbee? Or just want an excuse to run around and then head to the pub?
Join BUD (Bristol Ultimate Development) for a free taster session at Shine Sports Hall.
Ultimate frisbee is a mixed team sport that combines running, catching, and throwing. This session will introduce the basics of the game including throwing skills and the rules of the game, followed by friendly games and, of course, a trip to the pub. (More details below) No experience needed!
When: 6th of February 8:00-10:00pm
Where: Shine Sports Hall (not to be mistaken with Shine Sports Ground!)
Bring: Trainers, comfortable sportswear, a light and a dark top, and water
Currently BUD is an 18+ group and as such this session is not avalible to those under 18

Session Schedule
8:00-8:20– Throwing Basics
Learn and practice the fundamental frisbee throws.
8:20-8:30– Rules Overview
Our coach will explain how the game works, how to score, and the key rules.
8:30-8:45– Split into Teams
Meet your teammates, ask questions, and get ready to play.
8:45–9:45– Games
Friendly, low-pressure games to put everything into practice.
9:45–10:00– Spirit
Ultimate frisbee has no referees. Instead, teams come together after games to reflect on what went well, share feedback, and celebrate good spirit. often ending with a fun ✨ spirit game ✨.
10:00– Post-session pub trip
We’ll head to Westbury Park and Pub Kitchen for a well earned drink and social time.
