Calling all musicians, dancers, poets and everyone else to join the Sharron McLeod Fauxtet (Sharron McLeod, Yvette Tollar and Azure Soria vocals, Kevin Barrett guitar, Ian Desouza electric bass and Mark Hundevad on drums/percussion) for an afternoon of Soundpainting.
Soundpainting, created by Walter Thompson in 1974, is a live composing sign language for musicians, actors, dancers, and visual artists, comprising over 1500 gestures. This performance aims to explore the dynamic interplay of spontaneous creation and collaboration across various art forms.
This will be a introduction to Soundpainting, so please feel free to come and watch or bring your instruments with you. The more the merrier!
