An Introduction to Repair Cafes

is a new project to support local climate action in Glasgow. As part of CCF we are running a training and learning programme for organisations across Glasgow to learn from the work being delivered.

When we asked for feedback from participants on the type of events they wanted to see in the programme, one of the number one responses was around setting up repair cafes. Currently there is only one such asset in Glasgow - Repair Cafe Glasgow. However, there are four each in Birmingham and Manchester, eight in Bristol, and a whopping twenty in Cardiff (thank you, Welsh Government!). We know there is a demand for these assets in Glasgow - Repair Cafes, Libraries of Things, etc. So how can we get the ball rolling?
