An introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

Meditation practices are part of almost all world religions and almost all cultures have some form of meditation ritual. In more recent times, the practice of meditation has become an integral part of clinical practice helping 1000s of people with depression, pain management and reducing stress.

An introduction to mindfulness meditation is a 6 week course, 1hr per session in which meditation and its benefits will be discussed, and different techniques will be introduced which can enable people to achieve a meditative state.

The course will be taught by Mary Familari, Ph.D. She was a Teaching and Research Academic in the field of Biomedical Sciences for over 25 years at the University of Melbourne. Mary is a qualified Teacher of Meditation and is a member of the Meditation Association of Australia.
