The Forensic Science Lecture Series is a long-time partnership between the Indiana Medical History Museum and the University of Indianapolis Human Identification Lab.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Bradley Marchant joined the Genealogy Team of the Indianapolis Region Laboratory in July 2024. He lives in Anderson, Indiana but has lived all over the country. His love for genealogy started at the age of 16 when he found old photographs at a flea market from the 1940’s and sought to identify them.
Bradley graduated with a degree in Family History-Genealogy from Brigham Young University. Before graduating, he began contract research with Price & Associates, becoming their Nordic researcher. Brad was the lead genealogist (on and off-camera) for The Generations Project through KBYU in Provo Utah for two seasons. He has also worked on research for Who Do You Think You Are and A New Leaf. For several years, Bradley worked as a Scandinavian research consultant at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a metadata specialist for FamilySearch where he was in charge of organizing genealogical data for online publications of images. While there, he also became a cataloguer for the Family History Library Catalog in charge of multiple languages. Bradley then worked for five years as a genealogist researcher at Ancestry ProGenealogists.
Bradley lives in a big old house in Anderson which he and his family are restoring and renovating. He has two adopted sons. When he’s not busy with genealogy and renovating, you can find him at the Lowes’ plant clearance section rescuing half-dead perennials for his garden.
