About this Event

Join us in Fort Myers for a compelling, intimate evening with author, television producer, and global fixer Zamir Gotta—longtime friend and travel companion of Anthony Bourdain—as he shares stories from an extraordinary life spent bridging cultures, navigating international misadventures, and exploring the power of human connection.

Known to millions around the world for his sharp wit, warm spirit, and infectious humor, Zamir spent years working behind the scenes as an international producer and fixer. Along the way, he became a beloved on-screen personality, appearing across iconic travel series including A Cook’s Tour, No Reservations, and Parts Unknown.

Few people have experienced the world quite like Zamir. From navigating St. Petersburg banyas and arranging unforgettable excursions in Uzbekistan, to stepping in as guest host in Georgia, exploring Chernobyl with Geiger counters, celebrating Halloween in Transylvania, and opening on the "Guts & Glory" live tour, Zamir’s journey is filled with humor, resilience, and incredible behind-the-scenes history.

This special community gathering offers a unique opportunity to hear Zamir share his personal journey, discuss his book The Fixer and the Chef, answer audience questions, and reflect on friendship, travel, and life on the road.
