🌼 You’re invited to the final evening of VanDusen Botanical Garden’s 50th Anniversary Lecture Series on October 1! 🌼 Celebrate the heart and history of VanDusen Botanical Garden with a special panel discussion featuring the people who know it best — staff, volunteers, and leaders whose passion has shaped the Garden’s past, present, and future.
🎤 Moderated by Stephen Shapiro, Executive Director of VBGA, and Emily Schultz, Acting Garden Director for Vancouver Park Board, this evening offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Garden from multiple perspectives.

📚 Marina Princz, Yosef Wosk Library Coordinator, who for over 20 years has curated the Garden’s unique collection of botanical literature and helps connect visitors to the wonder of plant knowledge.
👨🏻‍🍳 Chef Matthew Phillip, Executive Chef at Shaughnessy Restaurant, who crafts seasonal menus shaped by the Garden’s changing landscapes and harvests reflecting the close connection between the restaurant and the Garden itself.
🌸 Marilyn Goebel, a dedicated volunteer whose decades of service have made her a living archive of Garden stories, milestones, and community moments.
