A veteran of the stage for more than six decades, Ted has appeared on and Off Broadway, performed with major Shakespeare companies throughout the United States, and spent thirty-two years as an Affiliated Artist with the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. He is the recipient of eight Helen Hayes Awards and the Helen Hayes Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ted's connection to Stratford runs deep. Early in his career he performed at Stratford's historic American Shakespeare Festival Theatre, appearing in productions during the theatre's celebrated years as one of America's premier Shakespeare venues. He remains an active advocate for preserving Stratford's Shakespeare legacy and taught at the Shakespeare Academy in Stratford.
