About this Event

Join SOS Fund on Friday, October 30, at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum for a screening of documentary Baltimore Heirs: The Last Deed Undone, followed by a conversation on protecting Black homes and land with Baltimore natives Ta-Nehisi Coates and Dr. Holly Harriel.

In August,  estimated that 80% of Black-owned land has been lost since 1910.

For many families, a home represents generations of sacrifice and memories. But when a loved one dies and their name remains on the deed, the family members who inherit that home can face legal and financial barriers to keeping it. Written and directed by Jewel Guy, the documentary follows three Baltimore families as they navigate challenges to keep their family homes.
