Join Shan Ako for an intimate evening of music, storytelling and songs at the Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Café in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 29, 2026.
Known for her work on the West End and international stages, Shan Ako brings her artistry into an intimate acoustic setting, sharing the songs, stories and experiences that have shaped her journey through music and theatre.
This special Los Angeles performance will feature stripped-back live arrangements, original music, personal storytelling and musical theatre moments, offering audiences the opportunity to experience Shan beyond the stage and into the heart of her creative world.
FROM THE WEST END TO LOS ANGELES
Shan is a London-born, British-Jamaican singer, songwriter, guitarist and theatre performer, now based in Los Angeles.
She is perhaps best known internationally for playing Éponine in Les Misérables, a role she has performed across multiple productions, including the West End, international concerts and the Les Misérables World Tour, culminating in performances at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall.
US TV Debut - Jimmy Fallon & GMA
Broadway World Interview
She also starred as Eliza Hamilton in Hamilton in London’s West End, following a career that has included leading roles in musical theatre, international touring, television and live music.
Her theatre journey has taken her from London’s West End to stages across the UK, Europe, Australia and the United States, while her parallel career as an independent recording artist has seen her release original music influenced by soul, gospel, R&B, pop, folk, reggae and musical theatre.
Shan was awarded The Stage Debut Award for Best Performer in a Musical for her performance as Éponine in Les Misérables.
THE MUSIC
The evening will feature music from across Shan’s career, including songs from her previous releases alongside new material from her upcoming acoustic project, Acoustic Diaries: Pages & Prayers.
The EP explores themes of faith, love, friendship, life, growth and the experiences that shape us, presented through an intimate blend of acoustic guitar, vocals and soulful storytelling.
Expect familiar songs to be reimagined acoustically, original music, musical theatre favourites and a few special surprises from Shan’s journey.
This is not simply a concert — it is an evening of songs and stories from the road, the stage, the studio and everything in between.
Now based in Los Angeles, Shan is entering a new chapter of her creative journey — bringing together her love of songwriting, live performance, storytelling, faith and musical theatre.
COME AND EXPERIENCE THE EVENING
Whether you know Shan from Les Misérables, Hamilton, her original music, The X Factor, her online community, or you’re discovering her artistry for the first time, this is an opportunity to experience her work in a completely different setting.
