In 2018, Tara opened Pura Vita West Hollywood, the first 100% plant-based Italian restaurant and wine bar in the United States. She is also the winner of the National Award for "Chef of the Year" by VegOut Magazine.

Ellen Kanner is the soulful vegan award-winning author of Feeding the Hungry Ghost: Life, Faith and What to Eat for Dinner. She writes about the intersection of food, culture, community, wellness, and sustainability for numerous outlets including HuffPost, Whetstone, Civil Eats, Saveur, EatingWell, VegNews, the Miami Herald, and Edible South Florida. Ellen is an internationally recognized vegan chef and advocate, culinary instructor and a Miami native.
