An Evening with Plucky Rosenthal
About this Event
Chicago’s Plucky Rosenthal brings her ukulele, musical wit, and unmistakable personality to The White Lilac for an evening where songwriting meets comedy and the spirit of vaudeville.
An award-winning singer-songwriter and cabaret performer, Plucky draws inspiration from bygone eras while keeping her humor firmly in the present. Her performances blend original songs, physical comedy, and a warmth that makes the audience part of the fun.
“Endlessly bubbly, charismatic and a darling throwback to vintage vaudeville.” — Gapers Block
“Daffy & sweetly outlandish.” — Chicago Tribune
Her solo shows have earned a Staff Pick at the Minnesota Fringe Festival and the Spirit of the Fringe award at the Elgin Fringe Festival. An Andy Kaufman Award semifinalist, she has also appeared at the Twin Cities Jewish Humor Fest, IndyFringe, and Artscape Baltimore.
Closer to home, her Chicago credits include the Green Mill, Zanies, the Lincoln Lodge, the Old Town School of Folk Music, Millennium Park, and Navy Pier, along with hosting and opening for silent films at the beloved Music Box Theatre. She also produces and hosts Sounds Like a Plan!, a live music trivia game show at Chicago’s Newport Theater.
Join us for an intimate evening of music, cabaret, and comedy in a room where every lyric—and every punchline—can land.
