About this Event
Join us for an evening of the best in Sci -Fi as we welcome authors Peter F. Hamilton and Adrian Tchaikovsky to celebrate their latest books Exodus: The Helium Sea and Green City Wars. From alien overlords to the epic expanses of space, from raccoon investigators to fugitive mouse scientists, this evening is sure to be out of this world!
Exodus: The Helium Sea
The epic conclusion of the far-future Archimedes Engine duology by legendary author Peter F. Hamilton.
For millennia, the Crown Dominion has been at relative peace, with the Celestials in control and the human population little better than serfs. But now the Crown Dominion is facing a crisis of epic proportions – one that could change the balance of power in the Centauri Cluster forever – as an exiled faction that has been waiting for seven thousand years beyond the Helium Sea has returned to claim its vengeance.
Green City Wars
The sci-fi maestro and author of the Children of Time series delivers a mesmeric and terrifying tale set in a future where artificially enhanced animals serving humans run their own parallel universe filled with conflict, crime and fierce power battles.
Peter F. Hamilton was born in Rutland in 1960. He began writing in 1987 and sold his first short story to FEAR magazine in 1988. He has written many bestselling novels, including the Greg Mandel series, the Night’s Dawn trilogy, the Commonwealth Saga, the Void trilogy, the Chronicle of the Fallers and the Salvation Sequence, as well as short story collections and several standalone titles, including Falling Dragon and Great North Road.
Adrian Tchaikovsky was born in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, has practised law and now writes full time. He’s also studied stagefighting, perpetrated amateur dramatics and has a keen interest in entomology and tabletop games.
