About this Event

Return to the Chaos Walking universe with Patrick Ness as he talks about his much-anticipated YA novel Piper at the Gates of Dusk.New World, twenty-odd years later, is still no paradise. Something has been spotted in the night sky. It's getting closer, and surely it must be responsible for the dreams infecting the youth. And then, a giant, burning god comes screaming out of the forest. Brothers Ben and Max (Todd and Viola’s children) must face a threat they can’t even reach as they race to understand what approaches, and how it will change their lives forever.Patrick will be talking about his inspiration for returning to New World, the themes and topics he brings to the series, and his writing career in general. An absolute must for fans and new readers alike.

Patrick will be discussing Piper at the Gates of Dusk, followed by a Q&A and book signing.
