Over 100 years ago, Auburn Heights' halls rang with the gorgeous voices of sopranos, invited by the Marshalls to entertain their guests with an opera recital. What was once a private event for a select few is available for all to enjoy and learn from. Join us at Auburn Heights for a luxurious summer evening serenaded by some of the best opera singers in the area. Opera Delaware is returning once again with their pop-up opera, where they sing a wide variety of songs of many languages, cultures and styles all in a beautiful garden setting.
A food truck and a selection of outdoor games will be there before and after the event to extend your fun in the park and the first floor of the mansion will be open and taking donations. We are also inviting several local non-profit community theatre organizations to table at the event to share awareness of the arts with our local community in the spirit of the Marshalls.
Bring your outdoor camping chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy the cooling summer breezes of a quiet June weekend.
