About this Event

Don't Miss An Evening with Koji Hiramatsu - LIVE IN TORONTO!

This is more than a demonstration! It’s an immersive experience into authentic Japanese bonsai design, technique and artistic philosophy, shared directly from a master of the craft.

A Special Collaboration

Koji Hiramatsu will be joined by respected Canadian bonsai expert, Gerald Rainville. Creating a dynamic and insightful evening of shared expertise.

Together, they will offer complementary perspectives – blending traditional Japanese techniques with Canadian bonsai growing experience. Attendees will be given a richer understanding of bonsai design and development. Immerse yourself in engaging discussion, thoughtful critique and practical advice you can immediately apply to your own trees.

Live Bonsai Demonstration

Watch as Koji Hiramatsu transforms raw material into refined artistry, explaining :

  • Design decisions and artistic vision
  • Wiring techniques and branch placement
  • Proportion, balance and movement
  • Long-term development strategy

You won’t be just seeing what he does – you’ll actually have real time understanding as to why he does it! Something that you can’t get over YouTube.

Panel Tree Review

BRING in a tree for the Live Panel Tree Review! Selected trees will be evaluated by Koji and Gerald, along with TBS President, Josh and Programming Director, Mike R.
