The Saint Peter Recreation and Leisure Services Department will host New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kate DiCamillo for a free, public event at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Saint Peter High School Performing Arts Center.
DiCamillo, a Minnesota-based novelist, is the acclaimed author of beloved books including Because of Winn-Dixie, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, and The Tale of Despereaux. She has sold more than 37 million copies worldwide and is one of only a few authors to have won the prestigious Newbery Medal twice.
Books by Kate DiCamillo will be available for purchase at the evening event through The Book Mark, the bookstore affiliated with Gustavus Adolphus College.
