About this Event

Join us for an evening of conversation as we celebrate the The Sky Is Not Enough, the second novel by June O’Sullivan.

June will be in discussion with Jackie Lynam, sharing insights into the writing of the book and the remarkable history behind it. The event will include an audience Q&A and wine on arrival.

The Sky Is Not Enough is inspired by the true and extraordinary story of pioneering Irish aviator Lady Mary Heath — a woman whose determination and courage saw her take to the skies at a time when few women dared to do so.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a thoughtful and engaging evening.

June O’Sullivan lives on an island in Co. Kerry. Her writing has appeared in the The Ogham Stone Journal, The York Literary Review, Seaside Gothic, The Storms Journal, The Waxed Lemon, Frazzled Lit and Sonder. She is a graduate of the MA in Creative Writing at the University of Limerick. Her debut novel, The Lighthouse Keeper’s Wife, was published by Poolbeg Press in January 2025.

Jackie Lynam is a writer and librarian from Dublin. Her poems have been published in several journals and anthologies, and she has been shortlisted for the Anthony Cronin International Short Poem Award and RTÉ’s The Prompt writing competition. Her writing has also featured in the Irish Independent and on RTÉ Radio 1’s Sunday Miscellany programme. Her debut chapbook Traces: Poems and Essays was published in 2023 and was longlisted for the Carousel AWARE Prize for Independently Published Authors. She received an Arts Council Agility Award in 2024.
