Join us for a unique evening beneath our breathtaking Light of Stars installation, set within the stunning atmosphere of Leicester Cathedral, as we welcome Helen Sharman, the first British astronaut. Helen will share her extraordinary story of becoming an astronaut and offer a fascinating insight into the ups and downs of living and working in space. Helen will discuss how exploring space can help us to overcome some of the challenges we face on Earth, how human beings reflect on life, and how might we use space in the future.
The evening will feature an illustrated talk followed by audience Q&A. Set beneath our spectacular installation, this special event offers a rare opportunity to hear first-hand what life in space is like, all while exploring themes of wonder, discovery, and human achievement.
Doors open at 6.30pm.
Recommended for ages 12 and over, this event is open to everyone and promises to be an unforgettable evening of inspiration under the stars.
