Mark Crossley Biography
With a professional playing career spanning over two decades at the absolute pinnacle of English football, goalkeeper Mark Crossley is a true cult hero of the game.
Best known for his legendary 13-year tenure at Nottingham Forest, Mark made over 300 appearances for the club—becoming a firm fan-favorite under the iconic manager Brian Clough. He holds the legendary distinction of being the only goalkeeper ever to save a Matt Le Tissier penalty in the Premier League, and famously saved a Gary Lineker penalty in the 1991 FA Cup Final.
Beyond Forest, Mark represented Wales at the international level and pulled on the gloves for top-flight clubs including Middlesbrough and Fulham. He even cemented his name in football trivia history by scoring a dramatic 93rd-minute equalizer from open play later in his career!
Today, Mark has transitioned into one of the most popular and highly sought-after after-dinner speakers in the UK. Armed with an endless supply of brilliant anecdotes, dressing room secrets, and a legendary repertoire of impressions (including the great Brian Clough himself), he promises an evening packed full of laughs and unmatched insight into football's golden era.
