The Cass District Library is excited to welcome Evelyn Sterne, author of “The House of David: Salvation, Scandal, and Survival in a Modern American Commune”, as part of the 2026 Michigan Notable Books Author Tour. Join us as Sterne shares the fascinating story of The House of David, an unusual, scandal-tinged, but ultimately long-lasting religious movement founded right here in Southwest Michigan. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Light refreshment will be provided.
