Join us for a wonderful summer evening in our Café and Garden Centre with the renowned David Austin Roses expert for an inspiring and informative rose growing event, perfect for gardeners of all experience levels.
Enjoy an engaging 1 hour 15 minute talk from the expert at David Austin Roses, covering everything you need to know to create beautiful, flourishing displays at home, including:
The breeding and history of David Austin Roses
Key rose varieties
Shrub, climbing and rambling roses
New introductions
Planting roses in pots
Compost recommendations
Basic pruning advice
Rose food and mycorrhizal fungi
Growing roses for cut flowers
The evening will also include additional inspiration and advice designed to help you get the very best from your garden, including:
Companion planting ideas
Planting in groups for impact
Recommended tools for the job
Further guidance on pots, compost and feeding
Following the talk, there will be time to browse some of the beautiful David Austin Roses, with the team on hand to answer questions, offer personalised recommendations and help you choose the perfect roses and companion plants for your garden. There will also be the opportunity to purchase roses, companion plants and gardening essentials on the evening.
Each attendee will also receive a complimentary David Austin Roses leaflet and handbook to take home, packed with helpful advice, inspiration and expert guidance to continue your rose growing journey long after the event.
BBQ Supper Included...
Your evening also includes a delicious served BBQ menu featuring:
Bratwurst sausages with caramelised onions
6oz beef burgers
Tandoori chicken thighs
Salmon fennel parcels
Vegetable & tofu kebabs
Mini jacket potatoes with cream cheese
Accompanied by a selection of fresh salads and sides, including:
Sliced tomatoes
Baby gem salad
Classic coleslaw
Mediterranean vegetable pasta salad
Apple Waldorf salad
Served with pretzel hotdog buns, floured baps and a selection of relishes and pickles.

All evening, additional drinks and alcohol will be available for purchase
Please note that tables will be allocated per booking so if you have a number of people in your group you will need to book at the same time or alternatively let us know by emailing [email protected] before Monday 13th July so your table can be allocated seated together.
The served BBQ caters for vegetarian but please let us know on your booking if anyone in your booking has any other dietary requirements or allergies that we should be aware of.
