For nearly two decades, American Aquarium have delivered a powerful brand of rock-and-roll that combines gritty country-rock with deeply personal and social themes. Frontman BJ Barham aims to create songs that make you sing along but reveal profound truths on reflection. Their latest album, The Fear of Standing Still, produced by Shooter Jennings and recorded live at Sunset Sound, intensifies their sound while tackling issues like Southern identity, generational trauma, and reproductive rights with raw spirit and empathy.
Moving beyond their previous acoustic work, the album bursts with anthemic energy and fearless songwriting.. Leader BJ Barham is playing a few select solo European tour dates including the wonderful Little Theatre, Gateshead for us. Its a scoop & an annual event in the Theatre.
