Márquez shares a lasting connection with Imperial Valley. His parents made El Centro and Imperial their home for more than thirtyfive years and are buried here. Marquez still has family living in Imperial County to this day. Those enduring family ties make this celebration especially meaningful as we honor Arturo and his music.
