On Wednesday, November 5, join us for a lively discussion featuring three alumnae who have made significant impacts in business, media, public relations, and marketing. RSVP to attend.
The evening is moderated by Anne Deeter Gallaher ’81, CEO of Deeter Gallaher Group, and Anne Carnathan ’87, CEO of Universal Media, Inc. Together, they co-host the podcast Grit & Gravitas, known for savvy, spirited, stories of success and conversations with leaders and changemakers. Anne and Anne will bring their popular podcast to Shippensburg where they'll include attendees in the conversation. We invite alumni, Ship students, faculty and staff, and the community to participate.
Their dynamic conversation will spotlight Lee Adams Kuhn ’87, VP of Promotion at BMG/Broken Bow Records.
Lee began her professional career as program director and air personality at WHYL Radio in Carlisle. In 1995, she transitioned to the record label side of the industry, taking on regional promotion roles with MCA and Warner Brothers Records in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2001 Lee joined BMG/Broken Bow Records, Nashville, Tennessee where she currently serves as vice president of promotion where she and her team work to secure radio airplay to ensure #1 hits. Lee has promoted over fifty #1 singles and helped build the careers of top artists. Her artist Jason Aldean is the reigning ACM Artist of the Decade and three-time Entertainer of the Year; Her artist Lainey Wilson is the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and Female vocalist and won the CMA Entertainer of the Year and two-time Female Vocalist of the Year. Lee’s work has earned her significant industry recognition. Lee is also a published author. Her novel, Love on Tour, was listed on She Knows’ 2025 list of “22 Incredible New Books.”
Anne and Anne will talk with Lee about her journey from radio to record promoter, to her travels across the country supporting top artists from city to city and concert venues throughout the nation. Lee will talk about her book Love on Tour and will take questions on her career journey, funny travel stories, and writing Love on Tour. Autographed copies of the novel will be available for purchase. Lite refreshments and appetizers will be provided.
