About this Event

QPL’s Culture Connection is thrilled to host an evening with three New York Times bestselling authors: Chris Pavone, Rob Franklin, and Emma Rosenblum. Each writes in the suspense/thriller genre but brings a distinct voice: Pavone with intricate espionage, Franklin with lush, socially conscious prose, and Rosenblum with sharp, darkly comedic satire. All three use New York City as a vivid backdrop in their latest work.

CHRIS PAVONE’s international thrillers include The Expats, winner of both the Edgar and Anthony Awards; Two Nights in Lisbon; and The Doorman, a New York Times Notable Book of 2025. His novels have appeared on major bestseller lists, won or been shortlisted for multiple awards including the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and have been translated into two dozen languages. Several are in development for film and television.

ROB FRANKLIN is the author of Great Black Hope (June 2025), a debut national bestseller nominated for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, the Barnes & Noble Discover Prize, and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence. It was named a Best Book of the Year by Time, Vogue, NPR, and Vanity Fair, among others. Franklin has also written recent cover stories for Cultured Magazine, The Cut, and Document Journal.

EMMA ROSENBLUM will moderate. She is the bestselling author of Bad Summer People, Very Bad Company, and most recently Mean Moms. A veteran media executive, she has served as Chief Content Officer of Bustle Digital Group, executive editor of ELLE, and editor at Bloomberg Businessweek, Glamour, and New York Magazine.
