We are made of stories. For as long as we have gathered around fires, we have used them to make sense of our lives. But there is a silent, healing power that occurs when a story moves beyond just being told, when it is physically witnessed, held, and brought to life by others right in front of you.We invite you to step out of the ‘everyday’ and into a 3-hour journey of storytelling. Together, we’ll use the playful tools of drama therapy to quiet the mind and open the heart to play. From there, we’ll move into the world of Playback Theater, where you’ll have the possibility to share your own story or simply listen to others, witnessing how these moments come alive before our eyes.
This experience will take place in a cozy studio, not on a formal stage. It is not about performing, it’s about the relief and the beauty of seeing your world reflected back to you.
Our story
I, Dominyka, have been fascinated by the healing power of theatre for over 10 years and have practiced as a drama therapist for the past two. When I first encountered Playback Theater just over a year ago, I was deeply moved. I saw how one person’s story, when shared and enacted, becomes a universal experience for everyone in the room. It felt profoundly healing, and I knew I wanted to bring this experience to others.
To make this a reality, I’ve teamed up with Olena Kalashnykova, who has been practicing Playback Theater since 2009. She brings 17 years of mastery as an actress, conductor, and accredited trainer to our circle.
What to Expect
This evening is not about acting skills. It is about connection through storytelling.
• Authentic connection – a space to be truly heard and to encounter others beyond everyday roles.
• The power of belonging – witnessing stories portrayed on stage gently dissolves the boundary between “I” and “you,” reminding us that our experiences are deeply human and shared.
• Creative freedom – through playful drama therapy and Playback elements, we quiet the analytical mind and invite the body and imagination to lead.
• A new perspective on your story – seeing a fragment of your life reflected through music, movement, and metaphor can offer healthy distance and fresh insight.
There is no pressure to share or perform. You are a vital part of the experience whether you choose to tell a story or to witness.
