An Evening of Folk with Sweet Old Souls & For the Living Earth
About this Event
Saturday, August 29th
Doors at 6pm
Music starts at 7pm
Come dance the night away with these two heart-felt duos!
Feel free to bring a sack dinner and enjoy the garden and maker's market before settling into a night of music!
Singing you those sweet old songs from a long-gone time, The Sweet Old Souls bring a blend of Jazz and Country music that can be light-hearted, bawdy and raucous, or sentimental. Playing vintage guitar, ukulele and fiddles, James and Suze have an old-world vibe and casual charm, sneaking in the occasional Celtic, Americana, and even Klezmer double-fiddle tunes. Homey, cozy and cute, this duo is a heart-warming time for all ages.
“For the Living Earth" is the musical collaboration of Jahnavi Veronica & Galen Hefferman. They weave their songs together with haunting vocal harmonies, plucked and bowed strings, percussion, and the willing voices of those who show up – creating soundscapes rooted in dreams and communications with nature. www.forthelivingearth.com
A Maker’s Market will also be available by the artists. Pottery by Suze and art by Jahnavi and Galen will be available for purchase. Come down and enjoy a family-friendly time of good music, connection and late summer magic at the garden!
