Do you know what courage looks like in the hungry bellies of refugee children, hoping to feed each other?
Have you ever felt the weight of a rock in your throat, the yearning to be understood?
What is the magic of a grandmother's single tooth smile?
Where do we find diamonds in a world dreaming of them?
Join award-winning Hmong American author Kao Kalia Yang and her friends as they adventure into the world of children's literature. In an unprecedented and once-in-a-lifetime event, Yang will take to the stage to read from her body of children's books. She'll invite friends and collaborators to sing songs, to read , to honor, and to stitch together a story of a child, a family, and a community holding fast, holding steady in a trembling world.
Valley Booksellers will be present to handle book sales and signing.
