About this Event
Spend Taco Tuesday with us experiencing the art of tacos! With an elevated, 3-course dinner from Veracruz All Natural with tequila pairings per course followed by a live taping of the first episode of Season 4 of the Tacos of Texas podcast and an opportunity to view our HHM exhibit, the evening will be a one-of-a-kind celebration of Hispanic heritage through taste, sight, and sound.
The Art of Food will explore the intersection of Mexican cuisine and artistic expression. Guests include Reyna Vazquez, cofounder of Veracruz All Natural, Ernesto Hernandez, Artist and Muralist, and Mando Rayo, host of the Tacos of Texas Podcast.

About the Podcast:
Tacos of Texas explores the iconic tacos of Texas and taco culture across the Lone Star state.
Host:
Mando Rayo‘s (he/him/el) experience is deep-rooted in over 20 years of uplifting and recognizing Latinx & BIPOC communities. As co-founder of The New Philanthropists (TNP), a nonprofit that works to create a more inclusive and equitable nonprofit sector, Mando takes on the necessary work that leads to sustainable and systemic change. Alongside Paulina Artieda, Executive Director of TNP, Mando is invested in creating cultural shifts on nonprofit boards that lead to authentic representation, and in helping organizations develop inclusion strategies at the leadership level. Mando’s is also a digital story-teller, producer and partner for IDENTITY Network and also serves as the “Taco Journalist,” producer and author of books & shows including: The Tacos of Texas Podcast with KUT Austin, PBS docu-series, books and the United Tacos of America TV Show on El Rey Network

Featuring 13 local Hispanic artists, this exhibit will be a celebration of Hispanic heritage, evoking the colors, sights, sounds, tastes and traditions of these beatifully rich and diverse cultures.

The Cathedral was created to provide an inspiring space to work and gather. They are a Latina-owned art gallery, event venue and coworking space in a gorgeous 1930's refurbished church. Home to sister company, atxGALS, they host art by local women + nonbinary artists.
