The current shut-down, recent federal lay-offs, the push-out of over 300,000 Black women from their professional roles, and actions taken by many corporations and agencies throughout this year may have caused fresh wounds and point to a need to create independence so that we can continue to protect and maintain our well-being. Join us for this movement created by The Black Girl's Guide to Healing Emotional Wounds, The Black Girl Healing Project and the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc. as we address these issues while creating and expanding our local ecosystem. This one-of-a-kind event will give you the following opportunities to:
-Hear stories of women who have overcome adversity
-Network and build collaborations with a powerful group of influencers, elected officials, and business professionals.
-Hear about new growth opportunities in the DMV
-Learn about The Black Girl Healing Project's work in our communities and how you can become involved
-Uplift Black women and families
-Celebrate culture as we feast on amazing soul-food entrees and tasty signature cocktails
-Understand how we, as a community, can care for each other as we did during the Civil-Rights era
-Be inspired!
