Nate Silver is a statistician, writer, and the founder of FiveThirtyEight. He gained national fame after correctly predicting the results of the 2008 and 2012 U.S. presidential elections. Silver is also the author of the bestselling The Signal and the Noise, and his latest book, On the Edge, takes a bold look at how risk shapes our lives and the world around us.
