About Nadirah Shakoor:

Nadirah Shakoor, a Grammy nominated vocalist, began her career as a backup singer for major recording artists such as Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul and Al Jarreau. She was a featured member of the Grammy-winning Hip-Hop group Arrested Development, known for hits like Tennessee, Mr. Wendal and People Everyday. Nadirah has toured the world and thanks to Jimmy Buffett, she’s had the pleasure of performing on all seven continents! Nadirah also enjoys a successful solo career as a singer/songwriter and has released albums Nadirah Songs, Soul Power and Nod to the Storyteller. Her collaborations with house music DJ/Producer Osunlade and her passion for storytelling continue to showcase her passion and versatility.
