About the Author: Brett Ann Stanciu is the author of Call It Madness, Unstitched: My Journey to Understand Opioid Addiction, and Hidden View. Recipient of two Vermont Arts Council Creation Grants, a 2024 Fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center for the Arts, and a 2025 Pushcart Prize nomination, her writing has appeared in numerous publications. She lives in Hardwick, Vermont, in a 100-year-old house surrounded by yellow perennials.
