📅 Saturday, March 14, 2026 (Pi Day — 3.14)
⏰ 2:00–5:00 PM
🥧 Featuring Ukrainian pies, tea, and a cozy afternoon atmosphere.
Before there were parades, there were stories.
Before there were boards, there were circles.
Long before rainbow crosswalks and Pride festivals, queer folks gathered quietly in cafés, halls, and borrowed spaces — sharing food, sharing truth, and finding each other.
In 1897, Magnus Hirschfeld helped spark the first organized queer advocacy movement through the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee. But even then, real change didn’t begin in offices.
It began in small european cafes like this one.
With conversations.
With courage.
With community.
2:00–4:00 PM — High Tea Social & Community Connection
The first two hours will be an open, relaxed social. Guests are invited to enjoy tea and pie, meet new people, and learn more about the launch of the NEW Belleville Chapter of Bay of Quinte Pride Society.
This portion of the afternoon is intentionally informal — whether someone is curious about getting involved or simply looking for good company, they are welcome to drop in and enjoy the space.
4:00–5:00 PM — “Spilling the Tea” (Guided Story Exchange)
The final hour of the event will gently shift into Spilling the Tea — a guided story exchange featuring short reflections and shared moments from community voices. Participation is invited but never required, and stories may be light, thoughtful, or personal.
