An Afternoon of Picnic Stories with Lady Glenconner

As part of a new events series 'Kitchen Stories at Fortnum's' every month, we welcome celebrated authors of both famous favourites and future classics to discuss their literary endeavours in the world of food and drink.

This November, we’ll be welcoming a very special guest to our bookshop here at Piccadilly: Lady Glenconner. Maid of honour at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, Lady Glenconner will be dropping by to celebrate the launch of her brand new book Picnic Papers, and other Feasts with Friends.

In the book, Lady Glenconner delves into the nation’s love for dining alfresco, accompanied by extraordinary stories and a few nostalgic recipes. Not only that, but inside its pages you’ll find contributions from the likes of Bryan Adams, Graham Norton, Lorraine and more.
