Discover the world of Gawthorpe Hall in the early 1600s when Richard and Fleetwood Shuttleworth lived here with their 12 children through this exciting new exhibition. Based around the original account books which give a glimpse into what the family bought, ate, where they travelled to and more.It also includes new information about the Lancashire witches and rarely seen objects of the period, including the Bourne Casket an embroidered workbox from the 1660s.
Included in museum admission. £7 adults, children free. No booking required.
Exhibition is in the Nursery on second floor of Gawthorpe Hall, due to the historic nature of the building there is no lift. Please see the Access Statement for details.
