Amy's Walk for Paws 2026

When: Saturday, September 12th, 2026 from 2 pm- 5 pm
Where: Jim Barnett Park in the Rotary Club Shelter

Why: Amy McFarland loved animals and always dreamed of opening an “Amy’s Home” for homeless animals. Unfortunately, on June 22, 2023, Amy was hospitalized with pneumonia and was in the ICU at the UVA Hospital. After numerous complications and developing Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), she passed on July 20, 2023. To carry on her beloved daughter’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity Mary McFarland organized the “Amy’s Walk for Paws” fundraiser for the Winchester Area SPCA. Volunteers are needed to walk and get sponsors to donate to them. Please invite your friends and family to come out to support a wonderful cause! Charlee Allman (Golden Ticket winner on American Idol in 2023) along with her friend Jon, will be entertaining us. There will be vendors, raffle baskets, and prizes.
The walker who collects the largest donation amount will win a $500 Visa gift card.
