Registration is now open for teams of 2 to sign up for Amy's Amazing Race. INFORMATION:
Amy's Amazing Race is part scavenger hunt, part escape room, and all FUN! Compete against other teams as you race around Barre City, discovering clues, earning rewards, and having fun!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone ages 18 and up
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
Completing challenges, solving puzzles and clues, meeting new people, and learning quite a bit about our non-profit and area businesses and non-profits.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
Pay a registration fee of $25 each (see details at the end of this form). You will need to arrive at the Youth Triumphant Statue NO LATER THAN 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 20. Wear matching-color shirts with your teammate, and a comfortable pair of shoes. This is a race!
NOTE: This race includes interaction with social media. ONE of the team members must have a social media (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) account in order for the team to participate in the race.
HOW MANY CAN BE ON A TEAM?
Teams need to be made up of 2 individuals.
CAN I CHOOSE WHO IS ON MY TEAM?
Yes! You EACH need to fill out this form and pay your registration fee. You will be asked for your teammate's name.
HOW LONG WILL THE RACE LAST?
We estimate 2-3 hours.
WHAT DO WE WIN IF OUR TEAM FINISHES FIRST?
We have a grand prize for the winning team.
WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION FEE FOR?
The registration fee covers the costs we incur for the race (props, equipment, etc.). Anything left over will be allocated as donations to our non-profit.
RULES:
***Teams must be made of 2 individuals.
***All team members MUST pay their registration fee of $25 BEFORE the day of the race.
***All team members MUST be present at 9:30 AM at the Youth Triumphant statue in Barre. Parking is a short walk away, and city traffic on Saturdays can be busy. Allow 20 min to get through town, find parking (metered parking is free on weekends), and walk to the statue.
***All team members MUST stay together for the duration of the race.
***All team members MUST be respectful of any business or non-profit that you enter during the race. Customers take priority; please be gracious to businesses who agreed to participate.
***Follow all pedestrian rules as you engage in the race. Use crosswalks and pedestrian signals.
***Teams have the opportunity to "Phone a Friend" for hints (if needed) by calling a number we provide.
***Cell phone is and internet searches are encouraged! Take photos or videos to document your experience! Tag Amy's Armoire!
