Amtrak Century and Metric

The Amtrak Century Ride is an annual cycling event sponsored by the Orange County Wheelmen, the original non-profit cycling club of Southern California. The Amtrak Century ride began over 50 years ago in 1974 and has run every year since, with the exception of the COVID years. The ride starts in Irvine California and follows the Southern California coastline down toward San Diego. The Metric Century Ride (62 miles) finishes in Solana Beach and the Full Century (100 miles) finishes in Downtown San Diego. Both Rides are fully supported and include an optional train ticket for return travel to the Irvine starting location.
