About this Event
Frogs, salamanders, and toads spend their adult lives on land but start out as aquatic juveniles. Adults of some species migrate to water in the early spring to reproduce. We will search the Ingrid Graham Historic Hellam Nature Preserve for these amazing creatures and learn about their biology and ecology.
What to expect and how to prepare: This will be an easy 1-mile hike on flat terrain. Dress for the weather. Bring drinking water and a head lamp if you have one. There will be a few headlamps available for those who need one. There is a restroom available on site. This event is recommended for ages 10 and up (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult).
Where to Meet: Follow the long gravel drive, veering to the right at the barn. Parking is available in the gravel lot.
Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend this event after purchasing a ticket, refund requests must be made at least 48 hours before the event.
Animal Policy: Service animals active or in training are welcome. Please leave all pets at home.
Cancellation Policy: This event will be held rain or shine, with cancellation a day in advance for severe weather. If the Conservancy reschedules the event, attendees will be emailed and tickets will be automatically moved to the new date. If the Conservancy cancels the event, attendees will be notified via email and refunded.
