America’s Boating Course gives you the basics you need to get out on the water safely, and it meets Florida's boating education requirements. The class is FREE - thanks to a grant from the Charlotte County Marine Advisory Committee.
Taking a boating class reduces your risk of accidents and injuries, saves you money on boat insurance, and qualifies you for the Florida Boater Education Card (required for anyone born on or after 1 Jan 1988 operating a boat powered by 10 HP or more).
America’s Boating Course is the most comprehensive, single source, in-person boating course available to give you the skills you need to enjoy your time on the water and boat with confidence.
The 12 hour courses include an introduction to use of local nautical charts.
