Have you wanted to research your family history, but you’re not sure how to start? Or maybe you are fairly new to genealogy and would appreciate some pointers like how to organize all the information you are finding. In her presentation, “Genealogy Smart Start, Things I Wish I’d Known,” Elizabeth Williams Gomoll, CG, will show you how to get started and avoid making some of the mistakes she made as a newbie genealogist.
Elizabeth Williams Gomoll, CG®, is a professional board-certified genealogist. She is in her fourth term as president of the Northland Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, was co-editor for Generations quarterly journal for 10 years, and served several terms as a Director for the Minnesota Genealogical Society. Liz is associate director for the Upper Midwest Genealogy Institute. She authored the award-winning books: a collection of WWI letters and photos titled With Love to All, and co-authored the research guide Husförhörsländer, Swedish Household Examination Records. Liz does client research and lectures as Red Bird Genealogy Services.
