American Musicological Society-Midwest Fall 2026 Meeting

The AMS-Midwest Chapter is pleased to announce its Fall 2026 meeting, to be held on October 17, 2026, at the University of Missouri–Columbia, hosted by the Budds Center for American Music Studies.
The meeting will be in person, with an option to present virtually. This is primarily for those who live more than 150 miles from the conference location or have other circumstances that preclude in-person attendance.
We welcome proposals for papers, special sessions, panel discussions, and papers with a performance component on any topic related to musicology. We are delighted to receive submissions from students, junior and senior faculty, and independent scholars.
Abstract deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
