American Motherhood Tour: No Country For Mothers Movie Screening
About this Event
You're raising kids. Navigating your career. Managing your parents' doctors, finances, and futures and quietly (or loudly) wondering "When did I stop feeling like me?" as you muscle your way through another day.
Join us for a Miami screening of No Country for Mothers, the record-breaking documentary from Reshma Saujani and Moms First.
The film follows a growing national movement challenging the manufactured divisions between mothers--working vs. stay-at-home, "girlboss" vs. "tradwife"--and makes the case that the real issue is structural. American families have been set up to fail.
What to expect:
An evening of community and conversation:
Screening of No Country for Mothers (runtime 75 minutes), refreshments and bites, and an informal conversation.
Suggested donation: $5–10 at the door (no one turned away) to our gracious hosts, Coral Gables Congregational Church UCC
Hosted by The Responsible Ones, a resource being built for women caring for kids, aging parents or both.
