A Musical-Visual Celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary
with music by Peter Boyer, imagery by Joe Sohm, and narrated by Barry Bostwick.
Celebrate the American spirit with a concert that honors history,
resilience, and the power of music to tell our nation’s story.
Peter Boyer’s American Mosaic, a newly co-commissioned work
by The Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra*, weaves together
images by renowned photographer Joe Sohm, music, and the
voices of America in a powerful reflection on the nation’s past
and future. The program concludes with William Dawson’s
Negro Folk Symphony, a masterful fusion of African American
spirituals and symphonic grandeur, bringing the season to a
triumphant and deeply moving close.
