As part of the Zimmerli Series, Spartanburg Philharmonic opens the 2026–27 season with a full-scale symphonic program celebrating the voices that have shaped American music. From the uplifting spirit of Jessie Montgomery to the profound beauty of Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms and the bold imagination of Philip Glass's Symphony No. 4 "Heroes," this program explores faith, identity, innovation, and artistic expression. Featuring full orchestra and chorus, "American Heroes" continues the Philharmonic's 2026 Festival of American Voices and invites audiences to experience the power, diversity, and creativity of our country's music.
