American Chestnut Seedling Distribution at River Remedy Brewing in Rome
About this Event
GA-TACF will distribute pre-ordered seedlings at a fun and family-friendly event at River Remedy Brewing in Rome, GA on Saturday November 21 from 1 - 7 pm. Please order seedlings here for pick up that afternoon!
We will also have our Chestnutoberfest beer on tap, fire-roasted chestnuts and other chestnut goodies, our new GA-TACF merchandise for sale, and will be screening two short films from the "America's Forests with Chuck Leavell" series. A portion of all sales at River Remedy this fall support GA-TACF, so please stop by even if you do not plan to get trees.
The seedlings that are available are advanced hybrids from our disease-resistance breeding program and, while no guarantees can be made, they should show good American chestnut form and disease resistance. Because these are products of TACF's breeding program, germplasm agreements will need to be signed at the time of pick-up.
Oh - and bone up on chestnut facts because we just may have a Chestnut Trivia contest!
P.S. Sorry, but we cannot ship seedlings.
